Diagnostic Semen Laboratory
The Diagnostic Semen Laboratory (DSL) works in conjunction with the Regional Fertility Program to provide specialized services related to the evaluation and treatment of male fertility. The Laboratory is accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and inspected by Health Canada. The DSL provides the following services:

Effective October 1, 2012 the Diagnostic Semen Laboratory will be located in the Cambrian Wellness Centre (3th Floor: West Building). All voice and fax phone numbers will remain the same.Contact Info:

Parking, provided by Precise Park, is available underground or on the surface parking lot just SE of the building. Parking rates are posted on the payment kiosk in the main lobby. There is limited street parking nearby the building.
Handicap parking is available in the front of the building. The clinic is wheelchair accessible.

*Note: Due to the processing time for semen analysis, appointments are scheduled between 07:30 and 11:00 a.m. Monday - Friday excluding statuatory holidays.

If you have been advised by your physician to book an appointment for a semen analysis please contact the laboratory directly at (403)284-9410. You are required to bring the requisition form from your referring physician as well as your provincial health care card to your appointment.
When you undergo treatment at the RFP your appointments will be pre-arranged by the nursing staff. IVF/ICSI and intrauterine insemination (IUI) samples are collected the day of the procedure. Please note that patients providing samples for treatment procedures must present government issued I.D. (with photo and signature) at the time of collection. The semen sample cannot be accepted without proper identification.
