Dr. Benjamin Wong

Dr. Wong joined the Regional Fertility Program staff in August 2004 as a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Calgary. Dr. Wong completed his MD degree at the University of Alberta in 1996. He graduated with honours in research. Following completion of his medical school, he decided to pursue specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Calgary. He received his fellowship certification in obstetrics and gynecology in 2000. He subsequently did a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine, Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, Virginia, USA. Dr. Wong is an American-Board-Certified reproductive endrocrinologist and infertility specialist. He is also a board-certified obstetrician and gynecolgist.

Dr. Wong is the primary or contributing author of articles published in major journals such as Fertility and Sterility, Human Reproduction, Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecologists of Canada. His current research interests are in the area of advanced reproductive technology, embryo implantation, menopause and polycystic ovarian syndrome.
