Dr. Calvin Greene

Dr. Greene received his undergraduate medical science degree (1976) and medical degree (1980) at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. After a period of military medical service in the Canadian Forces he specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He received his residency training in Halifax, St. John's and Calgary before receiving his specialty certification in 1992. Soon thereafter he limited his medical practice to the diagnosis and treatment of fertility disorders with specific emphasis on the assisted reproductive technologies and in particular in vitro fertilization.

He has been active in the executive of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society for many years and presently serves as their Chair of the Government Relations Committee. Dr. Greene is a Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Calgary and has been the Medical Director of the Regional Fertility Program since 1995. Dr. Greene is an active member of the Institute of Maternal and Child Health at the University of Calgary. His research interests are primarily in the areas of male infertility and the assisted reproductive technologies and their outcomes.
