Navigating the Emotional Aspects of the IVF Journey

IVF is an exciting journey, but it can also be physically and emotionally challenging. The process requires a significant time commitment and can be stressful, especially during the first cycle when patients are new to taking fertility injections and undergoing fertility medical. Additionally, it may take more than one cycle to achieve pregnancy success, which can cause anxiety for patients hoping to get pregnant quickly. All of these emotions are normal and valid. 

Our On-site Psychology Services 

In order to help with the psychological aspects of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and infertility, all patients have the option to meet with our clinic's registered psychologist, Ronda Trumper. With over 30 years of experience and a specialization in fertility concerns, Ronda supports patients by providing the tools necessary to ease stress and make the emotional aspects of fertility care easier to navigate.

About Dr. Ali Domar

Dr. Alice Domar received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Health Psychology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Ferkauf School of Professional Psychology of Yeshiva University and is also a part-time associate professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Domar also serves as a senior staff psychologist in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Domar's research focus on the intersection of stress and infertility makes her a unique fit to The Prelude Network mission for providing exceptional patient experience.
