About Dr. Amanda Forsyth-Greig
Dr. Amanda Forsyth-Greig, MD, MSc, FRCSC, is a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) specialist with a passion for patient-centred fertility care, fertility preservation, and recurrent pregnancy loss.
Dr. Forsyth-Greig completed her Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences (Biology and Chemistry) at the University of Calgary before pursuing a joint MD and Master of Science degree through the university’s prestigious Leaders in Medicine program. Her master’s research focused on breast oncology and molecular biology. She completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa, followed by fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Western University.
Throughout her training, Dr. Forsyth-Greig has remained deeply involved in mentorship, education, wellness advocacy, and research. She served in several leadership roles, including Vice President of Student Affairs during medical school, participation on the University of Calgary Student Wellness Task Force, and involvement with both the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada (SOGC) Resident Committee and the University of Ottawa OBGYN Resident Wellness Committee. She also contributed to undergraduate and graduate medical education through mentorship, lecture development, and question bank creation.
Her research interests span translational medicine, reproductive science, and transgender care. During her fellowship, her research focused on the development of non-invasive protein biomarkers of embryo competence. She has also received grants supporting clinical research in transgender care.
Dr. Forsyth-Greig believes in providing individualized, supportive, and informative care. She has received recognition for her commitment to patient-centred care, and strives to ensure patients feel empowered to ask questions and actively participate in their fertility journey. Her goal is to make you feel well supported, informed, and hopeful while navigating what can often be an emotional and unexpected path to parenthood.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Forsyth-Greig enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two young daughters, especially hiking and canoeing. She also loves dogs, ballet, and great food.
